Talented Grandparents

We are very blessed to have talented grandparents in our lives that do so much for us.   Here is what has been keeping them busy this summer.

Hop (Christina's Dad) built a treehouse bed for Hank - complete with a fire pole and house!   Hank absolutely loves it and there is no issues on staying in bed anymore, except he does like going to the bathroom a million times to slide down the fire pole.

Grammie (Matt's Mom) came in July with new curtains for Hannah's Room.   It is now decorated PINK complete with pink ladybugs.   Hannah loves her new room!

Nana (Christina's Mom) made Hannah a new swimsuit.  A bright purple, sparkly swimsuit.    Hannah hasn't worn another swimsuit since she got it.   I think we'll still be wearing it in December.

Christmas 2010

What a great Christmas!  This year Hop and Nana were came out for Yosemite for two weeks.  We tried to get out as much as we could between each rain/snow storm that we got.    We also spent a lot of time relaxing - playing games, with toys, reading books, sitting in front of the fire, and watching a lot of Netflix movies.   I think my Dad is sold on getting an Apple TV.

Making a snow fort in the schoolyard.

 Cookie Making

 Sledding

 And Snowshoeing

 And skiing...

 We believe - Santa's visit.

December Events

It's been a busy December in Yosemite.   Just a few highlights...

Meeting Santa Claus - Hank was willing to go talk to him, but would not sit on his lap.

Hannah didn't want anything to do with Santa Claus!

Big El Cap rescue and they brought in a Chinook helicopter.   Matt was transported to the top by the helicopter and then lowered 2000 feet to the injured person.

Putting the first ornament on the tree.

 All decorated!

An Indiana Thanksgiving

We made the big trip to Indiana to spend the Thanksgiving holiday.  We had a great time with family that we haven't seen for over a year.  Thanks everybody for the fun!

Hank really enjoyed playing with his cousin Jacob who is also three.

Hannah enjoyed playing dress-up with her Aunt Bridget.

All of the cousins - all three and under.

When Artists Meet in Heaven

When artists meet in Heaven,
We see fresh, falling snow.
Drifting oh so slowly
To all of us below.

When artists meet in Heaven
The add sparkle to the sky
With pink and blue of paint
To enhance every eye.

When artists meet in Heaven
They begin to paint the leaves
Orange and red and yellow
For each of us to see.

When two artists meet in Heaven
They take God's gift and add a little flair.
For when two artists meet in Heaven
It is now a worldly beauty that they share.

Thank you for adding beauty to my life Grandma.  You will be greatly missed.
